The story as a sort of prologue to the novel was indeed a revelation, already displaying in concentrated form the writer's river of ideas. His novella "The Jaguar" was a good variation too, of the metamorphosis theme and the unebbing narrative flow. Guess I have a lot of GR to look forward to--but first, on to the last 40 pages of his novel! P.S.
